Guy subbed for disrespect

Lewis Guy's fleeting appearance during yesterday's game against Aberdeen has been put down to a show of disrespect to one of the Saints coaches.

The forward - who has only scored once since October - was a second half sub for Esmael Goncalves. However, within 20 minutes he was heading back off again to allow Jack Smith to make his debut. Guy was far from impressed and quickly headed straight back up the tunnel.

Despite initially claiming it was a tactical move, manager Danny Lennon has revealed Guy was disrespectful to one of the coaches. From reading the forums it seems there was some verbals between the striker and assistant manager Tommy Craig - more following after Guy was subbed.

While you can understand Lennon being angry with his player, it's surely not the first time this sort of thing has happened. It'll be interesting to see if everyone involved kisses and makes up or Guy ends up being shipped out in the summer.
