Brechin or Bonnyrigg for Saints

Saints have been handed a home tie in the fourth round of this season's Scottish Cup after being drawn to play either Brechin City or Bonnyrigg Rose at Greenhill Road.

The two sides drew last weekend are due to meet again at Bonnyrigg's New Dundas Park this weekend. The winner will then head to Paisley on Saturday, December 1 (yes, our cup run could really be over before Christmas this year!).

Brechin are currently in the bottom half of the second division, although could well make the play-offs. They recently got rid of the management team of Jim Weir and former Buddie Kevin McGowne but they do have a few other ex Saints in the shape of Garry Brady, David McKenna and Craig Molloy.

Personally, I'd love to see us face Bonnyrigg Rose. It's a new team for us to play and I remember going to a few of their games when I was at uni and covered junior football at weekends. Regardless of who wins, we'll be in for a tough game.

Meanwhile, the midweek game against Ross County a few days before the Scottish Cup tie has been moved back a day to Tuesday, November 27. That makes a trip to Dingwall so much better...
