Easton fit for Saints
Defender Brian Easton has recovered from an ankle knock to take his place in the St Johnstone squad for the Scottish Premiership game against champions Celtic at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday night.
Murray Davidson has recovered from a long-term knee injury and played 45 minutes for the Perth side's development team on Monday.
However, manager Tommy Wright believes it is far too early for the midfielder to be involved at first-team level ahead of a game he is looking forward to.
Wright said: "The game is on Sky television, it is our first home league game and Celtic are the champions and when they come to town it is always a big game.
"I think it is a bit more special when you are playing the bigger teams
"I get my players into the mind-set that they respect every team and no game is a given and they know that.
"But I am not one who has ever feared anything in life and I feel that they believe that as well.
"At the end of the day it is a game of football and there is nothing to be feared, you just go out and do their best and to be fair to the lads that's how they have approached it over the past few years.
"But we know if we drop short of the intensity we play at, then we can get beaten."
New signing Jason Denayer goes straight into the Celtic squad.
The Parkhead club signed the 19-year-old Belgian defender on a season-long loan from Manchester City on Monday.
His arrival came just over 12 hours after Aston Villa's Bulgaria international winger Aleksandar Tonev also moved to Celtic Park on a season's loan but he has a knock and will not be included.
However, Celtic manager Ronny Deila believes Tonev has more to offer than he showed in England.
Deila said: "Aleksandar's a very quick player and he has two good feet which he can shoot with. He has scored a lot of goals during his time at Lech Poznan and I think he can help bring the club forward with his qualities. We can also make him better."
Craig Gordon is set to make his competitive debut in goal following the departure of Fraser Forster to Southampton while skipper Scott Brown is still out with a hamstring injury.
