French Ligue 1 club Saint-Etienne on Tuesday confirmed the signing of midfielder Renaud Cohade on a three-year deal from Valenciennes.
Cohade, 27, had come to the end of his contract at Valenciennes and had been attracting the interest of clubs in England after an outstanding 2011-12 season, in which he scored seven league goals to help his side avoid relegation.
