Brazilian forward Brandao has finally joined Bastia after a protracted transfer from Saint-Etienne, sources close to the Corsicans said on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old's on-off transfer had been held up as Bastia owed St Etienne 150,000 euros ($200,000) from the acquisition of defender Sylvain Marchal in 2012.
Having initially announced the signing a week ago, Bastia called it off a day later saying that Saint-Etienne had demanded a transfer fee, having originally agreed to allow the Brazilian to move for free.
The selling club denied that, stating they merely wanted Bastia to pay up what was already owed, which has now been done.
The former Marseille striker signed a one-year deal with an option for a further 12 months.
