Argentina international defender Nicolas Pareja has extended his contract with Russian League giants Spartak Moscow until 2016, club announced on Monday.
Spartak, nine-times Russian champions and the country's most decorated club, signed Pareja from the Spanish Primera Liga side Espanyol in summer 2010. At the time, the terms of the deal were not revealed.
The 27-year-old defender established hismself as one of the team's leaders soon after his arrival. So far he has played 33 matches and scored one goal for Spartak.
Spartak are currently fourth in the Russian Premier League with 53 points from 30 matches.
