Ramos set to return to Spain training

Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque said Monday defensive stalwart Sergio Ramos was feeling better and would train later in the day having missed a Sunday session for a muscle strain as he bids to be fit for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier with France.

"He told me he was feeling better and would train this evening, but if he is a bit touch and go we won't force him to play," said the world champions' coach.

With Barcelona tandem Carles Puyol and Gerard Pique the loss of Ramos would be a big blow for the Spaniards as Del Bosque would have to pick a central defensive pairing from Raul Albiol and nominal midfielders Sergio Busquets and Javi Martinez.

"We shall see after this evening," said Del Bosque.
