Andres Iniesta will be fit for Spain's opening Euro 2008 match against Russia after being released from hospital following a bout of severe food poisoning.
The Barcelona midfielder missed Wednesday's warm-up victory over USA but will be available for the curtain-raiser on June 10 in Innsbruck.
Barca team-mate Xavi scored the winner in the 1-0 success over the United States in Santander.
"I wasn't afraid (of missing Euro 2008) because I knew it was food poisoning and that in a day or two I was going to be all right," said Iniesta.
"I spoke to (coach) Luis Aragones and we decided that the best thing to do would be to stay in Madrid to recover. I wasn't fit to travel."
