Del Bosque admits Torres concern

Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque says he is concerned by the injury to striker Fernando Torres, who is facing a fitness race to be ready for this summer's World Cup in South Africa.

Torres recently underwent a knee operation and will not be fit when Del Bosque names his squad next week, but the Liverpool striker is certain to be included and the Spain coach hopes he is ready to play in South Africa.

"I am worried about Torres, but the expected recovery times for his injury are good," he said.

Liverpool's head of sports medicine and sports science, Peter Brukner, claimed on Tuesday that Torres will be doubtful for Spain's first match, against Switzerland on June 16.
