Villarreal winger Santi Cazorla says he is delighted to be part of Vicente del Bosque's 30-man provisional squad list for this summer's World Cup in South Africa.
Cazorla was part of the Spain squad that won the European Championship two years ago in Austria and Switzerland, but the midfielder has endured a miserable season with injuries and claims he is just happy to be involved.
"I'm really happy and very grateful to the coach for being on this list - it's a real reward for me after the difficult season I have had," he said.
Nevertheless, Cazorla says he will understand if he fails to make the final squad.
"If I don't end up going I will understand and will be just like any other Spain fan. The coach will decide what is best for the team," he added.
