Barca striker Villa faces long lay-off

Barcelona striker David Villa faces several months out of the game after breaking his left leg in the first-half of the European champions' Club World Cup semi-final in Japan Thursday.
Villa, 30, who has been the subject of speculation linking him with a move away from the Spanish giants, appeared not to be seriously hurt when he went off on a stretcher on 39 minutes.
But Barcelona later confirmed on Twitter and on its official website: "Bad news for David Villa and Barca, the striker's left tibia is fractured."
