Southport boss Mike Walsh has admitted that his side are in desperate need of a win or two to avoid a shock relegation from the Nationwide Conference.
The Sandgrounders have endured a torrid time, losing six of their last seven Conference games and are sliding ever-nearer to the drop zone.
Walsh commented: "We definitely need a couple of wins.
"The problem has become that we are so desperate to get that win that sometimes we play like we are a bit desperate. Everybody has got to try and relax and play a bit more football.
"I've been slowly trying to do things my own way and move people in and out.
"But that doesn't happen quickly and at the end of the day you get judged on results and so far they haven't been very good."
Walsh has also added midfielders Gary Hornby and Karl O'Donnell to his Haig Avenue squad.
