Tilson lands loanee Feeney

Southend United manager Steve Tilson has responded to his side's injury problems by landing Salisbury City midfielder Liam Feeney on loan until January.

The 21-year-old former Hayes & Yeading player has scored 12 goals in 42 starts and 23 appearances from the substitute's bench for the cash-strapped Blue Square Premier League side.

He will remain at Roots Hall until January 3 after a proposed loan move to Dagenham and Redbridge collapsed last week.

Tilson told the Shrimpers' official website: "Liam can play on the left or the right and this is a good chance for us to have a look at him before the transfer window re-opens."

Meanwhile, striker Charles Ademeno has moved in the opposite direction and will spend the next five weeks with Salisbury.
