Tilson hails Laurent's quality

Southend United manger Steve Tilson thought Francis Laurent's goal against Swindon Town was of the highest quality.

The 22-year-old Frenchman's first goal in English football helped the Shrimpers beat Town 2-1 and extended their unbeaten run to six matches.

A delighted Tilson said: "It was a fantastic finish from another decent ball in.

"But it was a great header, no keeper saves those in the world - and it was a goal worthy to win any game.

"If we play well we can beat anyone in the league, but if we're not on our game then we can lose to anyone in this league.

"It's that tight a division that you've got to be on your game for every single game."
