Tilson after Leeds United before Brentford and Brighton

And now it's down to five and both managers are well aware that games are running out; however, while one is looking for unity, the other is looking for points! Tilson: Blues boss Steve Tilson felt his team played well but once again he knew the first goal was all-important. Tilly spoke to www.southendunited.co.uk: "We made the wrong decision in their half to give the ball away and they have counter attacked and scored. Up until then, I thought we were pretty comfortable. Leeds didn't create too much in the first half and the crowd got on their back." So, does he still think the Shrimpers will escape the dreaded drop?Tilly continued: "It's getting tougher and tougher, but we'll fight another day on Tuesday against Brentford. We probably have to win three of our last five games and maybe a draw in there as well, but while it's possible, we have to believe we can do it."Grayson: On the other hand two successive victories have seen Leeds back in third place, and their manager Simon Grayson doesn't want to see the chance of automatic promotion wasted due to a lack of unity between supporters and players.Their was clear booing when Jermaine Beckfoed was substituted and teh Leeds striker responded with a rather rude gesture!Grayson said after the game: "The fans pay their money so they can chant things but they can only help players by getting behind them. Jermaine hasn't got a problem with it and nor do I. Strikers thrive on confidence and and after a few games without scoring, maybe Jermaine's confidence is dwindling." And on seeing the striker obviously struggling he had no hesitation in taking him off, a decision that paid off with the substitute Luciano scoring the second goal that killed the game off.Grayson concluded: "I heard a few fans having a go at Jermaine and then some backed him. Luciano wasn't 100% fit to play but we had to change the system and it worked. I said the other day that I'm not afraid to take my captain off or my leading scorer or a young kid if those decisions benefit the team."It does help though having that sort of talent on the bench, talent that Tilly can only dream about.
