Sturrock: 'Going to have to put my hand up for defeat'; Sheridan: 'I think we were fortunate to win'

Both managers had their say after Chesterfield's stoppage time victory against Southend Saturday afternoon and Luggy is still getting over the shock! Sturrock: 'Football kicks you in the teeth at times'Poor old Blues boss Paul Sturrock, who knows, one of those 91st minute substitutions might have rescued a deserved point for the Shrimpers Saturday afternoon. He certainly thinks so! Luggy told BBC Essex: "Football kicks you in the teeth at times and if you don't take your chances that's exactly what happens. I thought for 85 minutes we were absolutely fantastic, but the last five or six we tried to saunter out the game and we've paid the penalty for it. If there's anybody to blame for what happened today, I'm going to have to put my hand up because I do feel the substitutions were maybe made at the wrong time, but that's with hindsight." Sheridan: 'I think you'd admit we are quite exciting to watch' Then again Spireites boss John Sheridan could only be thankful his side did enough to steal three points right at the death. Sheridan told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I think we were fortunate to win the game, I'll admit that. It's typical of the players, it's full credit to the players that they've gone right to the end and they've got the reward. I think you'd admit we are quite exciting to watch, well at home we are, and we've been creating problems for teams. Teams are going to come and we make it very difficult."
