Shrimpers pipped to Robinson

The 20-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Roots Hall club last season and his performances led to the Shrimpers stating their desire to take him back to the club permanently. Yet they appear to have been pipped to the post by League One rivals Swindon, whose manager Danny Wilson has told the Swindon Advertiser: "He is on holiday at the moment but when he gets back we hope to sit him down and have the contract signed with us. "We've got a verbal agreement, but that's about it at the moment. But we're very hopeful it will happen."
