Shrimpers extend Kanu deal

Southend United have extended Hal Robson-Kanu's loan stay from Reading for a further month.

The 19-year-old forward has made 11 appearances for the Shrimpers after arriving in August and will now remain at Roots Hall for a further four weeks.

Meanwhile, manager Steve Tilson is also hoping to extend Adam Federici's loan deal.

The Australian keeper is also on loan with the League One club from the Royals.

"Hal has all been done and we're getting there with Adam as well," said Tilson.

"It looks like he will be staying up until the first round of the FA Cup, because there is no way Reading are going to let him play in that."
