Southend United have allowed defender Zoltan Liptak return to Hungary with Ujpest FC.
The 23-year-old spent just one season at Roots Hall after impressing manager Steve Tilson during a trial last summer but, after failing to make a first-team appearances, has been sold for £60,000.
Liptak spent a brief spell on loan at Blue Square Premier side Stevenage Borough during the last campaign.
"Zoltan never really progressed how we'd hoped during his time at the club," assistant manager Paul Brush told the club's official website.
"We wish him well for the future."
