Robinson heads to Roots Hall

Southend United have snapped up Watford striker Theo Robinson on an initial month's loan.

The 19-year-old has made just a handful of appearances for the Hornets this season and is set to remain at Roots Hall for the remainder of the season.

Robinson made his name last term during a season-long loan stay with Hereford United, helping the club gain automatic promotion from League Two.

He scored 16 goals in 52 games for the Bulls, including three in his last three games in the promotion run-in.

Robinson has been drafted in by Blues boss Steve Tilson after he lost the services of both Dougie Freedman (thigh) and Alex Revell (broken leg).
