Harry makes his mark: 'In the heat of the moment I'm not really sure what happened'

Tilly thinks it might have been an own goal! Try telling that to young Blues striker Harry Crawford, who is no doubt he scored his first professional goal against Stockport at the weekend. Crawford: 'I was quite nervous before the game started'The former Shrimper Under-18 top scorer joined other products of the Southend youth system, Johnny Herd, Stuart O'Keefe and Franck Moussa, blimey a couple more and it's Ron's dream team, and made his full senior debut on Saturday after five earlier substitute appearances. Thankfully accepting that the great cross from left back Johnny set the chance up, he was in no mood not to take credit for scoring the equaliser only four minutes after former loanee Jabo Ibhere had handed Stockport the lead. Harry told www.echo-news.co.uk: "In the heat of the moment I'm not really too sure what happened but it did hit my shoulder on the way in and I'm definitely claiming the goal. I was quite nervous before the game started but once I got a few touches I was fine. It was great to get the victory too and to win our final home game of the season." Certainly Blues boss Steve Tilson was happy with Harry's contribution, if not 100% it was the youngster who has scored!Tilly said after the game: "I think it was an own goal to be honest. But Harry got himself in to some good positions all afternoon and can definitely be proud of his performance."
