Freedman tips Blues return

New signing Dougie Freedman has tipped Southend United to bounce back from their disappointing start to the new season.
The veteran striker scored on his debut on Saturday, but the Shrimpers lost out 2-1 at Carlisle United and continue to flounder at the foot of the League One table.
"The boys played well and I think we deserved to have got something out of the game," Freedman told the club's official website.
"It was a good performance, I am pretty sure Carlisle will be at the top of the league, so to come here and give them a good run for their money shows that we aren't far off it.
"The performance was a little bit better than recent matches, but the result was still the same.
"We have shown we have potential to take results from games, but we just need to learn to hang in there."
