Flahavan eyes winning run

Southend United goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan has warned his side that they need to start winning in the near future as they try to avoid relegation from the Championship.

The Shrimpers are without a win in 14 league games and Flahavan is aware that they could get cut adrift at the foot of the table.

He told the club's official website: "It's a fine line with where we are at the moment.

"A win will help us breed confidence and we can go out and try put a run together.

"We need to go on a run of wins and start taking something from our home games.

"But to be fair we need to start winning all our games and in the near future, we need to get on a run of winning games as quickly as possible."
