Federici open to extension

Goalkeeper Adam Federici would welcome the chance to extend his loan stay at Southend United.

The Reading keeper has been on loan at Roots Hall since September and has made nine appearances for the Shrimpers.

He is due to return to the Championship club after Saturday's clash with Oldham Athletic.

"I don't know what's going to happen," Federici told the club's official website.

"I need to speak to Reading, but I would certainly have no problems with staying at Southend for longer.

"But they have three great keepers here already so I'm not sure what (manager) Steve Tilson will decide to do."
