Duo back with Shrimpers

Winger Damian Scannell and striker Richie Foran are back with Southend United after their respective loan spells.

Scannell returns to Roots Hall following a loan spell at Brentford where he started just one game.

Foran on the other hand scored three goals in 13 appearances for Darlington.

Southend are preparing for Saturday's league clash with Crewe, before hosting Premier League giants Chelsea in an FA Cup thirrd round replay next Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Francis Laurent is set to miss both games after suffering a hairline fracture to an ankle.
