Will Simmo stay a Shrimper?

Blues midfield loanee from Peterborough United, Josh Simpson, only has a couple of weeks left of his loan period, and there is no news on the club seeking an extention at the moment. Simpson; Will the weather allow him to get a game in before his loan period ends?Midfielder Josh Simpson, who is on loan from League One Peterborough until January 4th, made it clear a couple of months ago that he would like to stay a Shrimper, especially if Blues boss Paul Sturrock kept him in central midfield.Well, he's still been seen floating out to the right, but does seem to have a role that sees him swapping position with Anthony Grant during a game, and certainly getting forward as much as possible.Simpson certainly showed his strengths during the 1-0 Halloween win over Rotherham at Roots Hall, back when it wasn't snowing, a game that saw him voted man-of-the-match by the S24 correspondant. We're sure that Luggy will do all he can to either extend his loan to the end of the season, or even a free transfer if Posh don't want him back. Josh told www.southendunited.co.uk in October: "It's still probably too early to know exactly what might happen because it's only really been five or six weeks but at the moment I just want to keep on playing games and putting in good performances to get us up the league. Then come November or December time we will have to see where my future lies but I would be interested in staying because I'm enjoying getting games again." Well, it's now late December, so let's hope the club takes his advice as soon as possible, we saw how ordinary the midfield can look when Josh is not playing. The latest weather outlook here:http://uk.weather.com/weather/10day-Southend-on-Sea-UKXX1314http://uk.weather.com/weather/10day-Crewe-UKXX0228
