White in the dark over U's future
White, along with fellow defender Matt Heath, is midway through a month-long loan at Roots Hall - a deal that was sanctioned by the then Colchester boss Lambert.
The Scot has since taken over at Norwich, putting White's future under even more of a cloud.
"I don't know what's going to happen now," he told Southend's official website. "I'm going to leave it to the people above me and what they say goes really."
Meanwhile, Shrimpers midfielder Damien Scannell has returned to training following an ankle injury.
