West Brom say no to keeper playing at Preston but OK for Oxford

Oxford United, Preston North End, West Bromwich Albion. It's yes and no in the cups for Southend United's loanee shot stopper from W.B.A. Luke Daniels, yes to the JPT, no to the big one, so youngster Daniel Bentley may have to step up on the day!

Daniels: No cup trip for Luke but on for the JPT

A real chance for reserve keeper Daniel Bentley then, unless Shrimpers No. 1 makes a quick recovery from his thigh injury which shouldn't see him back until the end of next month, the teenage shop stopper will be turning out at Deepdale in the FA Cup First Round on Saturday, November 12th.

Premiership club West Bromwich Albion have decided they do not want their goalkeeper Luke Daniels, presently on a 28-day emergency loan to Southend, to be cup tied and will not be available for selection in that particular competition.

However, maybe because they're not in it, the Baggies have allowed young Luke to face Oxford United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy regional quarter-final at the Kassam Stadium on Tuesday, November 8th.

Blimey, Dan at Deepdale in front of a possible 11,000-plus crowd, if it happens, best of luck mate.
