The BBC featured Southend United in it's Football League Review show capturing Tara Brady, Paul Sturrock, Neil Harris & is that a cool looking Bilel Mohsni, worth a watch!

It was a good day for the BBC Football League Review show to hit south-east Essex with a near-10,000 gate in attendence at Roots Hall to see the then league leaders Southend United take on the sixth placed unbeaten away from home Shrimps.

It was all set up, and, as inevitably happens, the game can't live up to the hype, certainly not in the first half.

However, there was some action to be seen after the break, a couple of goals, a sending off, and before and after the Shrimpers faced Morecambe, interesting comments from CEO's, manager, and players, and where rest of the squad is concerned, some more interesting than others!

Highlights include: Chief Executive Tara Brady saying: 'We have players with character now'

Bomber Harris: 'It's the Saturday afternoon buzz, walking out on the pitch at a five to three'

And boss Paul Sturrock asking Graham Coughlan: 'There's a slight problem here, how do you spell Morecambe? M-O-R.........'

Oh dear, but Coughers face is a classic!

Enjoy!
