Yannick Boli: Not on his way to being a Shrimper it seems!
He looked the part in Tuesday afternoon for the Shrimpers seconds, but according to a tweet from Echoman Mark Phillips the speedy striker Yannick Boli will not be joining the club.
The Frenchman may have been involved for nearly the entirety of the game that saw Graham Coughlan's Blues Two's finally pick up a Combination League victory after four attempts, winning the first minute penalty that Stevens scored from and grabbing a strike for his own in the final minutes, you can add in hitting the crossbar and missing a great chance!
However, it doesn't seem to have been enough!
Phillips wrote: 'Blues unlikely to follow up interest in Yannick Boli club chiefs just told me.'
Well, once last season's top scorer Barry Corr gets fit we certainly have a full set of strikers, then again as we saw against Swindon, if injuries and suspensions leaves, say, Blair Sturrock and Harry Crawford up front, we will struggle.
Maybe the former Paris Saint-Germain man would come with an expensive wage bill?
Though you can't argue with any playing decision the club makes at the moment, we may see Yannick popping up for someone else soon enough.
No word on the other trialist Hungarian Krisztian Timar, but one would expect the situation is the same with the ex-Plymouth defender.
