Crewe Alexandra, Morecambe FC: In-form loanee midfielder Michael Timlin is loving it at Roots Hall at the moment, he's playing well, scoring the odd goal, and in a side that tops the league table! Now he wants the fans to help give them a lift for the

Timlin: 'We showed great character to respond after Crewe equalised'

We may only have him to January, but League Two rivals Swindon Town are surely missing the talent that is midfielder Michael Timlin at the moment!

Just missing out on the player-of-the-month award for September Timmo can't wait for the first v sixth clash at Roots Hall Saturday afternoon, and with a bumper crowd expected, 8,000 and upwards at the last count, attracted by the £5 ticket prices in all sections of the ground, he's hoping the Blue Voice and the rest of the ground will be heard back in Lancashire!

Timlin told www.echo-news.co.uk: “We were told that if we beat Crewe then we would sell out for the Morecambe game but it’s up to us to make that work in our favour. We need to make sure we start the game well and have the fans right behind us because that would give us a great advantage in what is a massive match.”

With all the excitement of a possibilty of a sixth successive league win cementing Southend's position at the top of the fourth tier, there's still a lot of games to nbe played and the Shrimps sit only four points behind the Shrimpers, plenty to play for!

Timlin said: “We showed great character to respond after Crewe equalised and it was a good win because they’re a very good passing side. We can certainly play better than we did there but as long as you get the result I don't think anybody can complain."

I think you're right mate!

COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!
