Tilson: Shrimpers paid the penalty

30 September 2009 13:55
Simon Francis had put the Shrimpers ahead in the first half with a freak goal, but the Bees rallied in the second period and hit back through two Kevin O'Connor spot-kicks to leave Tilson fuming. He said: "I've got no problems with the first penalty but for the second we have won the ball so that's particularly galling. I thought we were dominant in the first half and restricted them to virtually nothing in front of goal. "Perhaps with a bit more ambition we could have gone on and wrapped it up. "It was very disappointing. Brentford pressed us a lot more in the second half but it's still very disappointing to come away with nothing when we looked so comfortable and deserved something from the game. "These are the type of games when you need to take points because the big clubs with lots of money at the top are going to be taking points off each other and we need to do the same further down."
