Tilson satisfied with Saddlers win

Second-half goals from Kevin Betsy and Theo Robinson earned the Shrimpers victory as they bounced back from Tuesday's defeat to Millwall. The game hinged on Michael Ricketts' 14th-minute dismissal when the former Southend forward was shown a straight red card by referee Rob Styles for lashing out at Alan McCormack. "It was a good result for us because Walsall have been on a really good run," Tilson said. "It could have been a frustrating afternoon for us because of their run, but the lads stuck to their task and we kept a clean sheet and scored two goals. "It was always going to be a scrappy game after the sending off because they put 10 men behind the ball." The win means Tilson is three points away from his target of 52 points. But first his side face three away games, starting with Brighton on Tuesday. He added: "The three games are all away and against teams who are in and around us, so it will be three battles."
