Tilson looking for more defenders
The Blues boss is keen to bolster his squad ahead of the forthcoming League One season and it is at the back where he feels he most needs to bring in fresh players.
He told the Southend Echo: "We need to sign a centre-back and a left-back, that's certainly the priority this summer.
"We've already been through a list of players who are available in both positions and have drawn up a list of targets who we think would be within our wage structure and would do well for the football club."
