Tilson: 'Maybe it's time for us not to play well but grind a result out' Blues boss Steve Tilson doesn't care how his team wins the Easter Saturday clash with Yeovil Town at Roots Hall, as long as they do!He's had enough of seeing the Shrimpers holding their own in many a game but end up on the losing side, too often in the final minute.Tilly spoke to www.southendunited.co.uk: "I keep saying we are playing well but maybe it's time for us not to play well but grind a result out. I can't fault anyone for how well they are playing of late but it would be nice to put in not so good a performance but get three points on the board."As for the team he hopes to get that poor match but winning result against, it's the Glovers of Yeovil, and the Southend manager doesn't expect them to roll over however the Blues perform on the day.Tilly continued: "They certainly won't be looking at their holidays. They still need two more wins to make sure they are safe and until they get those they will be coming to ours and giving everything." Skiverton: 'These games are very close to each other'Glovers boss Terry Skiverton has decided to give his side a break from their regular training sessions in the week leading to the tough Easter schedule of two games in three days, hoping for a different result from the last time he tried this regime. Skiverton told the Western Gazette: "I think with the games coming up, the players needed the break. With a break we had before, I think I worked them a little bit too hard and they came back unproductive. We played Leyton Orient and it did not work well for us. I have tried a different approach this time and I hope it pays off with a bit more rest." However, the weather has not been brilliant in the South West, making the way he's worked the players even more important. Skiverton told "For me it was just important to give the lads a bit of rest and recuperation. First of all for the weather that's out there, it's absolute murder again for our pitches from the rain. Also we've got the games on the Saturday and the Monday so those games are very close to each other. So they're going to need all of the rest and mental energy that's coming up to two very important games for us." Has the Yeovil manager's decsion worked?
