Tilson after Shrimpers: 'The support really does mean a lot to me'
Former Blues boss Steve Tilson has thanked Southend United fans for their reaction after his shock departure from the club last weekend. Sadly, the last time we dig out this old photoHere at S24 we've been so busy as new manager Paul Sturrock has rung in the changes and the club has faced yet another date with the High Court, that the man whose seven year spell at Roots Hall brought so much success has hardly had a look in.For that we apologise and the Echo's Chris Phillips has caught up with Steve Tilson and his interview with him is in today's edition.Below is just a quote but it's good to hear he's aware of the appreciation that the vast majority of the Shrimpers faithful have given him.For many he was in charge of the side that gave them their greatest moments while following the club and Tilly himself has obviously been overwhelmed by the response.
