After the seven goal thriller at the Memorial Stadium Saturday, the Pirates manager is hoping that the play-offs are still within reach, while the Shrimpers boss is still in shock! Tilson: Tilly spoke to www.southendunited.co.uk: Tilly continued: Trollope: Pirates boss Paul Trollope was honest enough to admit his team were fortunate to leave the Memorial Stadium Saturday with a win that placed them seven points outside the play-offs.  Trollope talked to www.bristolrovers.co.uk: "We weren't pleased with many of the aspects, especially our defending. From the first minute they caused us problems, more than they should have, and we got in poor positions. The chances they had in the game, we are fortunate to sit here with three points."  He accepted Southend caused his team problems from the start.Trollope continued: "Mikkel made up for the penalty he gave away early on and made some good saves in the second half, because they got behind us far too many times. It is something we need to address, it has not been an issue over the last eight weeks, but Saturday it was a performance we were not proud off."They certainly gave themselves a mountain to climb by being two down after only 15 minutes. The Gas manager explained: "Southend are in a position that they need to force issues in games and they certainly did that. We couldn't get out down the bottom of the hill, we had the slope and the wind against us, there were numerous long throws and free kicks and a lot of long balls in our box we couldn't cope with. You have to give the opposition credit, they did well and got in behind us and set a tempo."
