Tilly updates contract talks: 'We would obviously like to keep them with us for longer'
Blues boss Steve Tilson has updated the situation regarding ongoing discussions with out of contract players. Tilson: 'We've been talking to Franck for a while now'Southend United manager Steve Tilson has revealed the club are in contract talks with Franck Moussa, Damian Scannell and Scott Spencer. And the Blues boss has also opted to take up an option to extend Johnny Herd's deal for another year. Tilson looks set to reshape his squad following relegation to League Two. But he is keen to keep the out-of-contract quartet who impressed in stages last term. "We've been talking to Franck for a while now and we've now also started discussions with the agents of Damian and Scott," confirmed Tilson. "We would obviously like to keep them with us for longer but Johnny will definitely be here as we've taken up the year's option we had on him."
