Both managers had their say after Tuesday evening's epic Carling Cup second round tie at Molinueux, not suprisingly one of them is more relieved than the other, who is just damn proud! Sturrock: 'The worry I have is that Friday is going to come a bit early for us' Blues boss Paul Sturrock couldn't be happier with how his players responded to Saturday's horrible 3-1 home defeat to Port Vale at the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers in last night's Carling Cup second round match, where they took their Premership opponents to the last seconds of extra-time before bowing out 2-1.Sturrock told www.southendunited.co.uk: "At the end of the day the lads are gutted but we take it as a positive rather than a negative. They were terrific and did everything I asked of them. Those making debuts came out with flying colours. We have lost the game but we can take so much from it."So with left back Peter Gilbert coming back from injury and Bilel Mohsni slotting in to centre-back next to Chris Barker, and all looking at ease with each other, can he pick the a similar side away to Bradford on Friday when it's back to the bread and butter of getting some league points on the table.Luggy explained: "A lot of our squad has been half fit so 120 minutes of fooyball will do them the world of good. The only worry I have is that Friday is going to come a bit early for us so we are going to wrap them up in cotton wool" McCarthy: 'They didn't deserve to lose the game in the cruel way'Meanwhile, Wolves boss Mick McCarthy, who did make ten changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Everton last weekend, including a couple of kids making their first team debut, was obviously relieved his side didn't join the long line of top clubs being knocked out by teams from the lower leagues in cup competitions.  McCarthy spoke to www.wolves.co.uk: "We had to work hard for it and probably didn't deserve it. And they didn't deserve to lose the game in that cruel way. Southend were different class and deserved at least to go to penalties but I'm glad it didn't and delighted we got through.'Fair enough, you wouldn't expect him to say any different, with the lottery of penalty kicks it could have easily have been the Shrimpers involved in the third round draw. McCarthy continued: "
