Sturrock set to keep Shrimpers unchanged for Shrews

Southend United manager Paul Sturrock has to decide whether to bring back our suspended players from Saturday, Ryan Hall and Anthony Grant, for Friday evening's tough League Two clash with Shrewsbury Town.   Luggy has some tough choices to make for Friday night as second take on third!   You would think after a 4-0 win that team selection is easy for the next game, which happens to be another high flyer, and again in second place having replaced the defeated Rotherham United, the Shropshire side Shrewsbury Town, having just missed out on promotion last season, and now minus Matt Harrold, under the lights of Roots hall next Friday here the Shrimpers could go top!   However, Blues boss Paul Sturrock has to decide whether to bring back his two suspended players from the weekend, the exciting winger Ryan Hall, or influential midfielder Anthony Grant for the visit of the Shrews.   Sturrock said after the game on Saturday: "It could be splinter city for them now. If my manager dropped me after that I'd look at him like he had 2 heads."   'Splinter city', another Luggy saying with obvious connotations, it looks as if Ryan and Anthony may have to be content with starting on the subs bench!   Tough, and as it happens a very 'away' selections in South Yorkshire would not have to be repeated in front of the Shrimpers faithful, and I see Ryan (Hall) replacing Ryan (Leonard) in the starting line-up at least.   But as ever with the canny Scot, he will us tell us, and the team, in his own good time.   You got Bilel Mohsni on the bench, try and read Luggy's mind again: www.southendunited-mad.co.uk
