Sturrock looks to loan help

Southend manager Paul Sturrock hinted that he may look to enter the loan market if his side are to stay in contention for a play-off place. The Shrimpers went down 2-1 at Morecambe despite drawing level six minutes after half-time through Barry Corr. Sturrock said: "The lads looked leg weary. We struggled to get going and the first-half performance was simply not good enough. "They have done really well recently but we weren't totally at it and some players looked tired. "I think some fresh faces will add a bit of life and zest to us and I think the club will benefit from it. "We deserve to be up there and to let it slip now would not be right."
