Blues boss Paul Sturrock has made a statement accepting the recent redundancies at Roots Hall as part of the reality of managing a football club at the lower level. Sturrock: 'It's very disappointing at times'Last week Southend United confirmed they had made goalkeeping coach Lee Turner, kit-man Steve Parmenter and 'transfer advisor' Billy Jennings all redundant as the Blues financial situation continued to remain in a poor condition. The Shrimpers manager Paul Sturrock told BBC Essex: "It's very disappointing at times, finance is an important thing in any football club. It goes with the territory in this day and age. I've been to many a football club who are in worse predicaments than Southend Football Club." Swindon then worse off than Southend now, blimey they must have been lucky to survive; however look at them now, well last season anyway, though that was under Danny Wilson, not Luggy!
