Southend's injury crisis is easing ahead of the match against Aldershot. Boss Paul Sturrock had 10 players sidelined for the trip to Stockport, which ended in defeat, but the Shrimpers welcome back 18-goal striker Barry Corr for the visit of the Shots. French defender Miguel Comminges is back in training after a knee injury but the game will come too soon for Bilel Mohsni (ankle). Kane Ferdinand is also in line for a return after missing the trip to Edgeley Park due to an international call-up. Sturrock revealed that Peter Gilbert had been playing with a hernia and he may be rested in preparation for next season. Lee Sawyer also has an ankle problem which may require an operation, so he will miss out.
