Sturrock frustrated despite win

Southend boss Paul Sturrock had mixed emotions at the final whistle after leading his side to a resounding 4-0 victory over Hereford. Early substitute Harry Crawford opened the scoring in the first half, before Barry Corr scored a second-half brace. Crawford then wrapped up the win from the penalty spot in stoppage time after Joe Colbeck saw red for a professional foul on Sean Clohessy. Sturrock said: "I'm pleased with the result but it is tinged with disappointment because if we had played like this over the past few weeks then we would have been in chase of a place in the play-offs. "I'm pleased for Barry Corr and Harry Crawford and it's good to see them score. Harry is in the development stage of his career but he has done well, and so has Barry. "He's got 18 goals so far this season but has taken a lot of criticism. "The only disappointment for us tonight is the injury to Johnny Herd. It looked like a bad one and I will have to get someone in."
