Sturrock delight at son's strike

Southend boss Paul Sturrock was unsurprisingly a very happy man after his team's fifth away victory of the season included a goal from his son Blair. Ryan Hall and Blair Sturrock gave the visitors a 2-0 lead going into half-time, shaking a Rotherham side unbeaten in nine league games. Moore's men responded through defender Nick Fenton in the second half but it was not enough to deny the Shrimps all three points. He said: "It was a very good all-round performance. It was a bit like the Alamo in the second half, but it was not as bad as we thought it would be. "We did catch them on the break several times. "I thought my front two did very, very well and worked their tails off and Ryan Hall had an outstanding game. He has goals in him and he makes goals and his use of the ball and his crossing was different class. "He seems more confident on the right than he does on the left, but everybody had a solid performance and it will be a very happy bus going home."
