Sturrock delight at Shrimpers comeback

Southend's Paul Sturrock was delighted to grab all three points but admitted his side had been lacklustre throughout the 3-2 home victory over Wycombe. Jon-Paul Pittman put Wycombe in-front, before goals from Barry Corr and Kane Ferdinand put the hosts back ahead. Scott Rendell equalised from the spot for the Chairboys before Craig Easton fired into the top corner in stoppage time to hand the Shrimpers victory. Sturrock said: "Our first half performance was unacceptable and we were not at the races. But we were by far the better side in the second half. We put a lot more pressure on their back four and started to get into the box. "I was pleased for Kane and he has a lot more goals in his locker, but when our front three got together in the second half, they really put us in control. "At 2-2, I was disappointed but we got the result in the end and that was important because at times this season we have battled away at home without getting any reward."
