Southend take on Gillingham without David Mooney and Noel Hunt

Southend remain without strikers David Mooney and Noel Hunt for the Sky Bet League One clash at home to Gillingham.

Both players will miss the game at Roots Hall as Mooney is carrying an ankle injury and Hunt has a calf problem.

However, midfielder Myles Weston could feature after overcoming a foot injury and playing for the under-21s in midweek while David Worrall has recovered from a cut in his leg and is also available again.

Ryan Leonard is a long-term absentee with a knee ligament injury.

Gillingham have Deji Oshilaja available again after he rejoined on loan this week.

The Cardiff defender made 15 appearances during a spell with the Gills earlier in the season and was recruited again because Adam El-Abd came off at Crewe with a hamstring strain.

Ryan Jackson trained on Thursday and Friday following his knee problem and should return to the squad at the weekend, but Justin Edinburgh still has injury issues.

Bradley Dack (hamstring), John Egan (knee), Doug Loft (Achilles) and Cody McDonald (foot) will all be sidelined until April at least.
