Southend United's Paul Sturrock and Barnet's Paul Fairclough before Northampton Town & Lincoln City

Both Southend United manager Paul Sturrock and Barnet boss Paul Sturrock had their say after the game that saw the Shrimeprs hold out 2-1 winners and move into seventh place. Sturrock: Blues boss Paul Sturrock accepts the games are coming thick and fast for his depleted squad, but could only be pleased they held out for the win and find themselves only one point outside the play-off positions.Sturrock told the Press Association: "It was good to get the win because Barnet were five unbeaten away from home, so this was always not going to be an easy game. We got two goals ahead but they got one back and it was a bit touch and go. I thought we played well in the first half, but the lads looked a bit leggy as the game wore on."And he once again repeated the suggestion he may not get some loanees in despite many of the side running on empty towards the end of last night's League Two clash as he doesn't want to lose the team spirit built up during the strong run that sees the Shrimpers the form side in the division.Luggy continued: "The problem is that we have a small squad and two or three of the lads are injured, and we still have another five or six Tuesday games to play. It would be nice to rest them more, but we can't do that. I might need to get someone in on loan but I don't want to upset the applecart because we have been playing well." try { FB.Event.subscribe('xfbml.render', function() { var fbTags = $('.facebookLike'); for(var i=0; iretweet--> try { FB.Event.subscribe('xfbml.render', function() { var fbTags = $('.facebookLike'); for(var i=0; iretweet-->Fairclough: Meanwhile, Bees boss Paul Fairclough had to lick his wounds despite their fine second half comeback at Roots Hall Tuesday evening that despite being two down after only 16 minutes saw them pull a goal back with two minutes left on the clock that proved too little, too late.As far as the veteran Barnet manager is concerned it's the last throw of the dice against Tilly's Lincoln City at Underhill on Saturday as they remain stuck at the bottom of the fourth tier table.Only two points behind Burton Albion for sure but the Brewers have SIX games in hand, they should win one or two of those!   Fairclough also told the PA: "Our season hinges on Saturday's game and it has become a must-win one for us. There is nothing wrong with the spirit in the side, we have shown that here, and I can guide them, but the players must do it on Saturday." Sadly though there had to be a tiny whinge about how events went against them, as it always is for teams struggling at the wrong end of the table, whichever league they're playing in.Fairclough continued: "It's tough at the moment and we have to start making our own bit of luck. We have hit a post before half-time and hit the crossbar at the end and if the ball had gone in it would have given us a great lift. Credit to my players for the way they played for an hour-and-a-quarter, but the game hinged on the first 15 minutes and credit to Southend for the way they came out and attacked us early doors."Well thanks for that anyway.
