Southend United striker Blair Sturrock will return to former club Torquay United Saturday deternined to put Tuesday's miss penalty miss against Wycombe Wanderers behind him. Sturrock: 'Shrimpers striker Blair Sturrock has had a hard job winning over many of the Blues faithful, but sterling performances since he dropped slightly off the main forward Barry Corr and the odd goal, his header in the 2-1 win at Rotherham was a cracker, has started to pull them over to his side.Being the son of the boss didn't help, many felt he was keeping the now Stockport loanee Matt Paterson out of the side unfairly, as well as little things like missing a spot-kick during the 3-2 win Tuesday evening over Wycombe Wanderers at Roots Hall. Blair hasn't stopped thanking winning scorer Craig Easton since, but it's still something that won't affect his confidence thanks to our old friend Twitter!Sturrock told www.echo-news.co.uk: "I've been sent quite a few tweets and I really appreciate the supporters taking the time to get in touch with me. They may not have been as nice if Craig didn't score at the end but it's helped lift me and so did the fact we still won the game." Anyway, someone else will step up if we win another penalty this weekend at Torquay United, Kane Ferdinand would probably stroke it home with the coolness he shows in everything else, as Blair faces one of his old clubs, he scored nine goals for them while on loan during the 2008/09 season. Then again, when you've played for as many as he has that's always going to happen every few games or so!  Sturrock continued: "I know Torquay well from my time there and this is a real tough one for us. They have a settled side and are well organised, especially defensively so we know we will have our work cut out against them."
