Blues midfielder Adam Bouzid has been sitting on the sidelines awaiting clearance from the Moroccan FA, and he's extremely relieved to have been given the nod to play at last. Adam Bouzid: Making sure couscous is on the Roots Hall menuSo Dad came up trumps after all, and his lobbying of the Moroccan Football Association helped gain his son Adam clearance in time to get some match action against Oxford reserves last night, and be in the squad for Port Vale on Saturday, where it's expected he'll start on the bench.Though growing up in France, Adam has plenty of Algeran DNA but played for Moroccan side Mouloudia Club Ouja last season, so a real international backround, be interesting to see if he eventually breaks up the present midfield trio of skipper Craig Easton, Josh Simpson and Anthony Grant. Might have a chance with young Josh. Anyway, speaking to www.southendunited.co.uk Adam said: "It had been frustrating having to wait and not be able to play, especially as there was nothing we could do about it but it's great that everything has now been sorted. I enjoyed playing in pre-season and was looking forward to the league starting too. We didn't think it would take this long."Bouzzy, no, maybe stick to Adam, went on to say how excited he was to be playing in England and be with Southend, we'll happy your here as well mate, and how he's thrilled he is to have another French Tunisian, central defender Bilel Mohsni, to have a chat with.More on what Bilel has to say here:
